Time for Change at Moulton Parish Church

Bringing the Parish Church Into the 21st Century

Improved Layout

We plan to create much greater flexibility with the layout of the interior of the building. Click on the image above to display an architect’s impression of what we hope to achieve.

Modern underfloor heating will make the interior of the church warm and welcoming even in the depths of winter.

New solid oak chairs built by Treske in Yorkshire will be installed to complement the Grade I listed architecture of the church.

Modern halogen lighting will be installed to increase light levels throughout the building.

Time for Change

Opening up new possibilities for a beautiful community space
Help us put Moulton Church at the heart of the community for decades to come

In 2007 we began to explore the possibility of a major new reordering project to the interior of the Parish Church. After consultation with the church family and the Diocesan Advisory Committee major architect's plans were drawn up to reorder the building. An artist's impression of the reordered interior can be seen in the title graphic on this page. Having received a Faculty from David Pittaway QC, the Chancellor of the Diocese, approval has now been given to press ahead with the building work and we are now fundraising and anticipate starting the work in the summer of 2017. This stands to benefit the wider community enormously; we currently run a Mums and Tots group, after school clubs for the primary school and secondary school, marriage courses to strengthen family life in the community, the only Friday evening youth club in the community and we have plans to begin a debt counselling service in the near future to help families in crisis. To do all this we really need a building fit for purpose. Please consider a donation and send cheques made payable to 'Moulton Church Fund' with a covering note to indicate the money is for Time for Change. We are most grateful.

  • More uses as a community space
  • Greater Seating Capacity
  • Warmer and more welcoming to new people
  • Sensitive to the needs of a Grade I Listed Building
